Why Convertly exists
Convertly started with a small, familiar frustration: constantly searching for the same everyday conversions and calculations. What's 180 cm in feet? How much is 0.05 BTC worth right now? What's 15% of a bill? Each answer usually meant opening a different website — often a slow one, wrapped in pop-ups and cookie banners, that wanted an account or buried the actual tool beneath a wall of ads.
So I built the place I wanted to use instead: one tidy home for the conversions and quick calculations I kept reaching for, with the tool first and everything else out of the way. That's still the whole idea. Convertly is a growing collection of small, focused tools — currency, crypto, units, sizes, data, percentages, BMI, word counting, and a handful of everyday utilities — each designed to give you a clear answer the moment you type, with no sign-up and no clutter.
Who's behind it
Convertly is built and maintained by Firirigs, an independent maker of simple web tools. It isn't a big company or a venture-backed startup — it's a personal project run by one person who cares about the small details, from the exactness of a conversion factor to the way a page feels on a phone. If something looks wrong, there's a real person on the other end who genuinely wants to know and will fix it.
Built to be private and accurate
Two things matter most to me on this site: protecting your privacy, and getting the numbers right.
How Convertly stays free
Convertly is free to use and supported by advertising. That's the entire business model — there's no premium tier, no paywall, and no selling of personal data. Ads are simply how a small independent site like this covers its running costs and keeps every tool free for everyone. I try hard to keep them unobtrusive and well out of the way of the tool you actually came to use. You can read exactly what is and isn't collected in the privacy policy.
What you'll find here
The toolbox currently spans four areas — money and crypto, measurement and data, everyday calculators, and text and utility tools — with more added over time. You can browse the full list on the homepage. If there's a converter or calculator you wish existed here, I'd genuinely like to hear about it.
